When does noise become dangerous?

The longer we remain in a noisy environment, the more deaf we become to it. And if we fail to take precautions, the more easily we become deaf because of it. It is not without reason that health and safety legislation specifies that employers must offer their workforce hearing protection and information in a working environment with a long-term noise level starting at 80 decibels. To give you an idea, a normal office printer generates 75 decibels…
